Inclement Weather Make-up Days
Rogers Public Schools has applied to the Arkansas Department of Education for a waiver for the last two snow days. If the waiver is granted, Rogers Public Schools will make up 11 of the 13 missed school days on Jan. 20, Feb. 17, May 27, May 28-30, and June 2-6 for all schools on the regular calendar. (Eastside Elementary, which is on a continuous learning calendar, will make up its missed days on Jan. 20, Feb. 17, and April 28-30, May 1- 2, & June 12, 13, 16, & 17.) Calendars for the first 11 missed days are available online. If the waiver is not granted, two more days will be added on to the end of the year. We will update parents when we hear the decision on our waiver request.

Opportunity to Transfer into Rogers School District
The Rogers School District is accepting requests for nonresident students to transfer into the district as required by the Public School Choice Act of 2013 and the applicable rules and guidelines for School Choice issued by the Arkansas Department of Education, unless the student’s transfer creates the need for additional staff, services or facilities or causes the resident school district to exceed its transfer limit. By June 1, 2014, the parent/guardian of interested students must complete an application at the Rogers School District’s administration office at 500 W. Walnut St. and provide a copy to their resident school district. All 7-12th grade students will also need administrators from both districts to sign a Changing Schools/Athletic Participation (CSAP) Form.
