Allergens

  • The seven common allergens of milk/dairy, egg, wheat, soy, peanut, tree nut are listed when present on each recipe used in menu preparation. Allergens present in foods are identified for students with sensitivities to these or any other food components of the meal when the nutrition department is notified with a physician's order. A substitute is provided when appropriate.

    As a preventative measure, the nutrition department avoids using any peanut oils or products containing peanuts in meal preparation.

    We periodically use "WOWBUTTER," which is 100% peanut free. It is made from soy beans and produced in a "nut free environment" certifying the product's safety for peanut and tree nut allergies. The product is also gluten free, dairy free and egg free.

    The product will be clearly labeled when served on the menu.
