In light of the national conversation around Critical Race Theory (CRT), and in response to recent questions and concerns that have been raised by parents and community members, the district would like to address and clarify the curriculum being taught in the Rogers Public Schools.
Rogers Public Schools teaches state and district standards for all subjects; we teach the Arkansas Frameworks. CRT is not a part of either set of standards. The district has not and will not support or implement CRT into its curriculum at any grade level.
CRT is a theoretical approach to material generally discussed in higher education, not at the K-12 level. As a district, we remain steadfast in our commitment to equity, inclusion, and continuous improvement so that all students feel valued and are prepared for their future. We serve almost 16,000 students with diverse thoughts, beliefs, perspectives, experiences, and backgrounds. Our job is to prepare all of them to achieve personal success. In Rogers, “All Belong, All Learn and All Succeed.”
