After School Care
The Rogers School District partners with the Boys & Girls Club of Benton County (BGCBC) to offer after-school care at a minimal cost for working families at most elementary schools. BGCBC provides a safe and wholesome environment where students in kindergarten through fifth grade can be creative, have fun, and access additional learning opportunities after school.
The after-school program is available at most elementary schools in the district until 6:00 p.m. Grace Hill Elementary does offer an after-school program, but it is facilitated through SOAR.
BGCBC is licensed by the Arkansas Department of Human Services, and the program has achieved "Quality Approval Status" from the state, enabling parents to claim a state income tax credit. All staff members are trained in CPR. BGCBC offers a structured, educational atmosphere with STEAM activities.
Each day, children can participate in a variety of activities, including:
- Arts and crafts
- Board games
- Sports and recreation
- Science and nature activities
- Homework assistance
- Shared reading
- Independent reading
- Listening centers
- Drama and theater
- Blocks and construction
- Music and movement
Children also receive a nutritious snack that meets USDA guidelines.
Tuition for after-school care is $60 per week, plus a $20 registration fee per child.
