Career & Technical Education

Launch Your Future

In the Rogers School District, our Career and Technical Education (CTE) programming is known as Launch. This innovative initiative is designed to equip high school students with the skills and knowledge they need to thrive in a rapidly evolving job market. Launch offers a dynamic and comprehensive suite of over thirty career and technical education programs, providing students with hands-on learning experiences and the opportunity to explore various career paths.

High school students in the Rogers School District can choose from a wide array of CTE programs available in multiple formats to suit their needs and schedules. These programs are offered online, on-site at our high school campuses and the RPS Career Center, and off-site at Secondary Career Centers. This flexible approach ensures that students can access high-quality education and training regardless of their individual circumstances.

In addition to our standard CTE programs, students can participate in a variety of Extended Learning Programs and certification courses offered after school and on Saturdays. These programs provide additional opportunities for students to deepen their knowledge and gain valuable skills. Moreover, high school students can take evening courses at local industry training centers, where they have the chance to earn industry-recognized certifications, further enhancing their employability and readiness for the workforce.

Join us at Launch and take the first step towards a successful and fulfilling career. Our dedicated team of educators and industry partners is committed to supporting each student's journey from education to employment, helping them achieve their full potential. Explore the possibilities with Launch and discover how our CTE programs can open doors to a bright future.

Launch Career Programs of Study

Extended Learning Program

The Extended Learning Program aims to enhance the awareness of career options and develop the academic, technical, and employability skills necessary for various jobs across different fields.

Our programs are available to high schools students during the regular school day, after school, and throughout the summer of 2025. They are offered on-site at district campuses, through online courses, and at local industry and medical training facilities, with little to no cost for RPS students. Additional programs may be introduced to align with student interests and career preparation needs. Specific grade levels are designated for several programs.

Students may register for one course or program initially. Upon completion of the first course and final assessments, and subject to available funding, students may have the opportunity to register for a second course. While RPS covers the costs for student participation, students who do not complete a course will be required to repay the full amount to ensure other students have the opportunity to participate. After you submit this form for registration, you'll need to get this agreement signed and emailed to Maria Barranca at maria.barranca@rpsar.net before you can start classes.

We are here to support you in selecting programs that will pave the way to your future career. If you have any questions or need assistance, please contact your counselor or the Director of Career and Technical Education, Tiauna Young, at tiauna.young@rpsar.net.
