• Participants employed by the Rogers School District as paraprofessionals and enrolled in Reach University enjoy full tuition coverage.

Participants enrolled in Reach University and employed by Rogers School District as a paraprofessional will have their full tuition paid for.

Participants enrolled in an accredited teacher prep program at an eligible institution other than Reach University or 9-12 will receive $3,600 towards their 4-year or 5-year program ($450 per semester).

In order to be eligible for My Time to Teach, candidates must:

• Be employed as a Rogers School District Paraprofessional
• Be willing to teach in the Rogers School District for at least five years

The My Time to Teach offers comprehensive support, including in-person and online professional development, periodic check-ins to monitor progress, and pairing with a teacher mentor at your local campus for guidance and feedback as you complete the program.

The Rogers School District will provide full-time paraprofessional positions to the participants who plan to complete their coursework through Reach University.

Reach University is a nonprofit university that offers job-embedded learning. They offer online degree programs to individuals who are already employed by schools in Arkansas and other states. Their cohort-based programs are full-time for candidates, flexibly designed specifically to meet the needs of adult learners through a combination of synchronous learning that supports asynchronous work and occurs during the evening hours. 2024 Rogers School District Graduates: First, you need to complete the My Time to Teach Application. If selected for the program, you will be hired and start working as a paraprofessional. You will apply to Reach University, and the district will provide a letter verifying your employment. You will submit your application to Reach University by October 31 to begin your courses in January 2025.

You may apply for My Time to Teach, but only a portion of your tuition will be covered ($450/semester) if you are selected as a participant.

Reach University only admits students who are school employees. If you do not intend to work while completing your college courses, you may want to select a different college/university.

• Bachelor of Arts in Global Education + Teacher Certification

If the participant is employed as a paraprofessional with the Rogers School District and enrolled in courses through Reach University, congratulations! 100% of their tuition will be covered. However, if they choose to attend a different college or university, they may still be eligible for additional financial aid.

• Student Assistance: They may work one-on-one or in small groups with students who need extra help, providing additional explanations, guidance, or reinforcement of learning concepts.
• Behavioral Support: Paraprofessionals often assist in managing student behavior and maintaining a positive learning environment by implementing behavior management strategies outlined by the teacher.
• Administrative Tasks: They may also perform administrative duties such as record-keeping, grading, and preparing materials for lessons.

Paraprofessionals play a crucial role in supporting the educational experience of students, particularly those who may require additional assistance or accommodations to succeed in the classroom. They work closely with teachers to ensure that all students have the opportunity to reach their full potential academically and socially.

My Time to Teach paraprofessional assignments are determined based on participants' goals, experience, and available positions in the Rogers School District.

Yes, paraprofessionals who work full-time will be paid and eligible for benefits, including health, dental, vision, etc. They will also be able to accumulate time with the Arkansas Teacher Retirement System. Click the button below to review the 2024-2025 Salary Schedule.

My Time to Teach participants can earn their license through the Bachelor of Arts in Global Education + Teacher Certification program.

If a participant chooses the other program that is offered by Reach University, Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies, they would need to complete one of the alternative pathways to licensure offered by the Arkansas Division of Elementary and Secondary Education.
