ACT Suite of Assessments

  • ACT - The ACT is a college-entrance exam that covers English, reading, math, science, and writing. The ACT is delivered in an online or paper format with multiple-choice questions over 165 minutes. During the Rogers Public Schools administration, students take the English, reading, math, and science sections in an online format. Students can choose whether to take science or writing when registering to take the ACT on a national Saturday test administration day.  Results provided include a student report, college report, and interest inventory. The ACT is accepted by all four-year colleges and universities in the United States. 
  • PreACT - The PreACT is a practice/diagnostic for the ACT that covers English, reading, math, and science. The PreACT is delivered in a paper-and-pencil format with multiple-choice questions over 130 minutes. The Pre-ACT cannot be taken on a student’s own time outside of the school setting. Results provide predicted score ranges for the ACT Subject and Composite Scores, a student report, an interest inventory, an item response summary report, and test booklets are returned to students. 
  • PreACT 8/9 - The PreACT 8/9 is a practice/diagnostic for the PreACT and ACT that covers English, reading, math, and science. The PreACT 8/9 is delivered in a paper-and-pencil format with multiple-choice questions over 130 minutes. The Pre-ACT 8/9 cannot be taken on a student’s own time outside of the school setting. Results provide predicted score ranges for the PreACT and ACT Subject and Composite Scores, a student report, an interest inventory, an item response summary report, and test booklets are returned to students. Students testing in 9th grade may not test again using state funding until 11th grade.
  • ACT WorkKeys - ACT WorkKeys measures essential work skills needed for success in jobs across industries and occupations and represents work readiness through the National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC). The purpose of the NCRC is to provide students with a workplace certification that demonstrates their preparedness for the workforce, and measures their knowledge and skills in Applied Math, Graphic Literacy, and Workplace Documents via an online platform over 165 minutes. There are four certified NCRC levels: Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze. ACT WorkKeys is offered to students in grades 10-12 and cannot be taken on a student’s own time outside of the school setting.
