We're so excited to welcome everyone to the 2024-2025 school year!

On this page, you will find important information to help make the start of the school year as seamless as possible. We will continue to add to this page as updates become available.

The first day of school for K-12 students is Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2024.

COMING SOON: We will send out information on completing the annual Back to School information update for all returning students.

Remember, the first couple weeks of school can create extra traffic. Add extra time to your route. If you're not dropping off children at school, consider altering your route.

Greer Lingle Middle School

We know there are a lot of questions concerning Greer Lingle Middle School for the 2024-2025 school year.

With the damage from the Memorial Day weekend tornado, the Lingle Middle School building will not be open for this school year. But that does not mean that Lingle Middle School will not be open.

Essential Enrollment Documents

Age Verification

We need just one of the following documents to verify your child's age:

Birth certificate or other approved certification of date of birth
Statement by the local registrar or a county recorder certifying the child's date of birth
Attested baptismal certificate
Passport
Affidavit of the date and place of birth by the child's parent or guardian
Previous school records
United States military identification

Proof of Address

Proof of your address within the Rogers School District boundaries is needed, which may be verified with one of the following sets of documents:

Current real-estate property tax receipt and a current utility bill showing the name and address of the student’s parent or legal guardian.
Rental or lease agreement and a current utility bill showing the name and address of the student’s parent or legal guardian.
Copies of a current utility bill from two different utility companies showing the name and address of the parent or legal guardian.

If the parents or guardians of an enrolling student do not have all of the necessary documents, they will be asked to bring any documents they do have to the RPS Welcome Office (605 W. Dyke Rd.) and sign an affidavit.*

Immunizations

Your child will need proof of age-appropriate immunization, as required by the Arkansas Department of Health, against poliomyelitis, diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis (whooping cough), red (rubeola) measles, rubella, mumps, hepatitis B, and varicella (chicken pox), or an approved waiver from this requirement. *Note: Kindergartners are required to have two doses of varicella. Seventh-graders are now required to have a Tdap immunization.

The district may temporarily admit a student if the child becomes appropriately immunized, is in the process of receiving the needed doses of a vaccine, or shows proof that he or she has applied for an exemption for those vaccines he or she has not received within 30 school days after being originally admitted.

Expulsion

We will also need to ask you if your child has been expelled from a previous school or is a party to any expulsion proceeding at a previous school. (If a student is under expulsion from any other school, the student will not be admitted to school until the Board of Education has conducted a hearing to determine the student's suitability for admission. The Board may prohibit a student from enrolling until the expulsion from the other school has expired.)
