ROGERS, Ark. — Rogers Public Schools is proud to recognize six outstanding students who have been named National Merit Semifinalists in the 2027 National Merit Scholarship Program. The six students representing Rogers Public Schools are:

• Miles Brannan, Rogers Heritage High School
• Cowen Eide, Rogers High School
• Nathaniel Leffingwell, Rogers Academy of Leadership & Innovation
• John Patton, Rogers High School
• Colby Simpson, Rogers Academy of Leadership & Innovation
• Kenrick Williams, Rogers Academy of Leadership & Innovation

Being named a National Merit Semifinalist is a significant academic achievement. Semifinalists are selected based on their performance on the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT), placing them among the highest-scoring students in their state. The National Merit Scholarship Program recognizes academically talented high school students across the United States.

More than 1.2 million students in about 20,000 high schools enter the competition each year, with approximately 16,000 students named Semifinalists.

The Semifinalists will have the opportunity to continue in the competition for National Merit Scholarships. Finalists will be selected based on a combination of academic records, test scores, recommendations and other information submitted as part of the application process.
